Default heya

hey everyone,

i have a question reguarding my corn snake loki

shes just been fed today and funnily enough when i was checking her rub to see if the heatmat was warm enough for her, i noticed shes in the middle of shedding, but because she has fed today she has the bulge from her 2 pinkies, and i was wondering, will her shedding cause any problems for her? im unsure as shes not shed while being with me until now. i have only had her since the 29th october and she had shed on that day.

i'll post a picture so you can see, i dont want to handle her in fear that it would make her regergitate her dinner. but was wondering if any of you think she may need some help or if she'll be ok and the shed wont harm her while shes digesting dinner?.

here are some photos so you can see what i mean

or am i just being a tad paranoid. shes my first snake, and i know im inexperianced in this

some of my corns will shed sometimes straight after feeding - if the shed is still in the same position tomorrow then you may need to bathe her or help assist the shed. I wouldn't worry too much about regurge - never know a corn to do this cos of gentle handling and even if she does it is more important to shed properly - she can always feed again in a weeks time.
Ask away - that's how we all learn - and I might not be 100% correct - this is just my experiences.

regurge can cause a lot more problems than leaving a stuck shed for a day or 2.

I'd leave her. She seems to be doing OK by herself. Its not going to do any harm to leave her for a day or two, even if it doesn't come off.

Or put in a humid hide. A marge tub with a hole and some sphagnum moss will do. I bet it comes off by itself though.
