Default Eyecap removal, should I wait ?

My little guy hasn't shed for a while and it seems he is due now.
I cleaned his viv today and I found him like this :

Unless he ate his skin I am pretty sure he hasn't shed yet (considering the loose skin on his nose).

Should I wait with the removal of the eyecap until he shed or should this be done asap ?

Also, my other cali king is in the blue for four days and lost his milky eyes two days ago and still sits still in his hide without moving .. anything to worry about ?

If you are sure he has not shed then this could be the start of it so I would leave it, if he sheds and it does not come off the sooner you deal with it the better it will be.

Well his nose looks very "unshed" and his scales feel loose too .. Mmm... guess I wait a bit and see what happens.

Mind you, I never removed eyecaps before ( I did read the sticky tho ) and he is quite young ....

Shedding is very stressfull for snakes, he is just staying where he feels safe.

Glad to hear it's sorted. If you have any issues with retained eyecaps, the sticky above works well. I used it on a Royal with three retained caps, when he shed on Friday night all three caps came off
