Default jungle jags/ coastal jags size differance

whats the size and girth differance between a 50% jungle jag female to a pure coastal jag female.

I like big snakes, which is why i really want a coastal jag, but depends how much smaller the jungle jags are.

pics and info plz

it can vary from no difference to a lot of difference I am afraid. Jungles can reach 8ft, my adult female coastal jag is 6ft 8"

thanks. thats on the small side for a coastal jag adult ? is that female ? being the bigger of the 2.

I understand the more jungle influance the smaller the snake will be. I prefer mine on the bigger side...
so its a gamble depending on the sire and dam ?

cheers

Its not particularly small TBH, most of the coastals I have seen have been under 8ft. Its a female yes, but in carpets the male is naturally the larger, although the diffrence is small.

My coastal jag female is 5 1/2 - 6' and is an 08 who has been moderately fed. I expect that she will bottom out at about 10.5' but only time will tell .

I've yet to see a giant Coastal as well..... They are reputed to be the largest, so there must be some somewhere....

the reason being that in the wild males combat for affections of the female so 'generally' the larger stronger males get their oats. Natural selection does the rest.

In the capative environment this conditioning isn't there so the size differential is neglegable.
