Default Can i use shredded paper in my tanks as a sub?

Hi as seen in the title, can i use it for things like gophers, rocks, royal, rat and cuban boa & retic stuff like that?

Yes it is actualy quite good, I put 2-3 layers of newspaper down then a load of shredded ontop, it cuts out any real need for hides as well in smaller species.

Yeah i use it when im doing shows, just wondered if i could use it permenitaly. Keeps them warmer as well. Thanks. Zach

I have a plant pot turned upside down with the bottom cut off filled with newspaper, my baby Retic LOVES it... Don't see why it wouldn't work with other species tbh, works well for me and is easy to clean...

I actually use shredding newspaper for anacondas insted of a soaking area to make them feel more secure
