as many have said its pine and extremely dusty its a respiratory problem in the making for any snake and also if swallowed would cause irritation and possible impaction of the snakes stomach

orchid bark is also pine so i would avoid that also

Not all the orchid bark you buy is harmfull. Not all pines are harmfull to snakes also I read somewhere on this site a while ago.

actually most is...most of the ones for reptiles are...because there all processed and made at the same places and used with the same machinary

Do you know which ones are safe to use? I have read the info on some and it contains traces of pine but others don't.

if you can find me orchid bark that is not pine your a star because all the main companys that supply it to the reptile have admitted to me that it is pure pine ive seen it made personally for the reptile trade but if you can find some that is guaranteed pine free let me know coz i will use it

How harmfull is pine to snake? I have used orchid bark for 10 years and never had a problem.
