In 100% agreement here.

You really must be very careful when adding snakes to your collection.

I was thinking exactly the same. Wish you all the best but it is not something I would do.

Maybe so....but still you only have his word on that....and anyone can clean up before a buyer comes....not saying he has at all but am talking in general

but lets forget about the background of the snake....your adding a snake thats just been moved from one location to another,,,,how can you ganurentee that it hasnt been exposed to temps slightly lowert than normal for enough of a time for a slight upper respiratory tract infection to have begun? hell ive even had it on a few occations from transporting snakes even in poly boxes with heatpads.

How do you no the snake has not started suffering from non regenative aneimia as a result from the move , NRA in snakes is the result from stress levels sky rocketing.

So by greatly increasing the temps to that of which you discribe it as "cooking" suggests the ambient temps were over 36 degrees as thats the temps our own body regulates at....so that means your royal have been kept at around 38c+ which is around 102f,,,far too hot for your royal...so its gone from normal temps to an extreme.....which in its self brings alot of possiablew issues...RI still being one of them

NRA is when a snake suffers from stress, its the reason wc snakes often refuse to feed in captivity, and also the reason alot of snakes such as royals can be trouble feeders aswell....it causes them to be come ill over time if NRA is prolonged....so its always wise to allow a 2-4 week stress free period with snakes

I find this interesting. Have you found this to be a bacterial or viral infection which has taken hold due to the temperature difference in the move?
Personally never experianced it in nearly 30 years.
