Exclamation Incubation Help

Ok, i've had a major crisis today.

After checking on my female royal today i found her ceramic had dropped off the ceiling (this is after one cracking and failing three days ago and me emergency fitting this one) burnt her slightly and had to remove her to refit it.

Here's where the problem comes in, she was in the middle of incubating her own eggs...

I've got an incubator and shoved the eggs in there at 29.5 on some moss on sterilised orchid bark but i'm sure the eggs have sunk slightly since doing this...

The dilema i have is i can either put her back with her eggs in the viv with the ceramic refitted and hope she goes back to incubating them or try to keep them going in the incubator...

I would appreciate some hints and tips either way as this is my first clutch and i don't know 100% what i'm doing...

Helpppp

I'd leave them in the incubator.

Give your female a good bath and clean the viv to get rid of the smell of the eggs and she'll be right as rain.

I would leave them in the incubator now, moving the eggs backwards and forewards will only cause problems. If the egg are collapsing they are either ready to hatch or the humidity is too low or has been too low.

They're still a good 30 days from hatching, due on the 12th of April to hatch.

Any tips on how to keep them healthy in the incubator as i'm a bit worried by the appearance of dipping that seems to have occured...

Have a feeling my humidity is a little low...

It just feels like these eggs are just destined to fail...

Ok well the chances of her re incubating them in my experince are nil...once her time has passed theres no going back...its like an natural incubator trance

your reason for this is because your using bark as a medium...get your self some vimiculite and have it mosit...i go 1:2 ratio.

If you have some vermiculite handy, make up a fairly dry mix, it should not clump too much when you squezze it in your fist.
Fill a rub or similar up to approx half full, make a dent in the vermiculite, and carefully place the eggs.
Bung the lid on and hope for the best.
Putting them back with mum will just add to the stress of the burn.
Good luck

Yeah this is the problem, i don't have any atm. I can grab some tomorrow, but think i need a solution overnight...

I have the following available;

Aspen
Orchid Bark
Moss

.... Have seen methods for "dry incubation" with pools of water at bottom of tubs but struggling to replicate this...

good luck with the eggs in the incubator - i won't question an ounce of what you have been advised here, but can I just ask how the ceramic fell from the top? Have you not got it guarded to prevent it from falling and smashing??
