Default im confused, soil cable help pleeeeease!!!

hi all
i have decided to go down the soil cable heating root for my 12 33l royal rack. could someone please tell me if i would need a single or double row of cable per shelf? also is it best on the shelf with heat tape under or on the back of the rack? if anyone has any pics or links i would really appreciate it as i really want to get this sorted!
many thanks, nicky

I've thought about doing this for our hatchling rack and maybe a royal rack later on. I personally would cut out a long ridge, deep enough to house the cable, do a double line of cable per shelf and then use big staples to hold it in place.

This is of course my thought on the idea

I've condsider using this method for all vivs as well as you can recess the cable in and and cover with a thin piece of wood, secure in place and no more hidey hidey under heat mats!
