I would think it would be to cold unless you insulated it and had a small heater in there.

would need to be insulated, I tried to keep snakes in my conservatory and soon had to move them out as it was just too cold. Would imagine a garage would be as cold if not colder

When I first started building vivs, i worked from home - from inside my garage.

It's fully insulated and sits underneath the main bedroom of my house.

Even with 2 Oil Filled heaters on full blast, I sometimes struggled to feel my fingers in Winter.

I really wouldn't advise it to be honest.

I was going to convert it into my Rep room now that I have my own workshop but I've decided not to take the risk.

I would be more worried about the heat in the Summer, than the cold in Winter . The garage would need to be well insulated to keep the heat out in Summer & keep it warm in the Winter .

How often does it get above 30C in the UK though?

My garage is insulated and has a heater, it is absolutely FREEZING in winter

Get a split air con unit. They keep the temps constant summer and winter and change the air too by drawing fresh air from outside.
