Default Angry Burm

Well after a full week of my male being a total pain in the arse as hes been coming into shed, ive just caught him wriggling his way out of the skin, its just behind his head and hes working it off slowly. Hopefully hell chill back out again now as hes normally a sock. Has been so hissy the last week hes nearly jumped up and down doing it at times.

This week my most placid female burm tagged me for no apparent reason and has been a real arse ever since. Ive had her 2 years and shes been like a puppy.

Ive checked temps & humidity and all is fine...nothing at all has changed other than her temper. Must be the female element (sorry girls ) lol

Dont ya just love burms!?!

Yeah I realise this, ive had him ages and this particular snake has always been fine in or out of slough.

I have noticed though that as snakes get larger, the period of slough takes longer and their tempers fray a lot more, my big retic did exactly the same, once she hit about 9 foot or so, which is what this burm is, she started to be the same. Just spray water in and run with that one now. Even if there is a large dump in there you arent getting in to clean it when shes on one.

Malky201: your burm is a bit bigger than mine so good luck getting that one off if hes on one mate haha.

Funnily enough as mainstream and ordinary as they are, apart from retics, they are possibly my favourite snake. The males are so relaxed usually its stupid.
