Default Does Provent a mite work?

I ordered and received 2 cans of PAM before christmas, as one snake in my collection seems to have a recurring mite problem no matter what I do. I treated everything with PAM to the letter.............and three treatments later I'm still having issues with mites.

I've heard so many people rave about this stuff it seemed like a wonder cure, so just wondering has anybody else been disappointed with how it's worked (or not!!)?

Steve

I have never used it before but I had a mate that used to tread the viv and acessories with provent a mite and then treat the snake (not strictly necessary) with olive oil.

But did it actually work?? I've done everything exactly as described in their instructions, and still seeing mite, even only a few days following treatment.... very disappointed with it to be honest.

Yes it did work, I have never bothered buying it, I have bought most mite products about in the past but nothing was ever as effective as olive oil on the snake, and rinse off after two days, thoroughly bleach the viv with a 50/50 bleach/water mix then rinse very very thoroughly off so all the smell has gone and repeat weekly for 3 weeks. Its a lengthy process but I never had them come back after the 3 week treatment.

Do you just follow the instructions on the tin? I'm wondering did I get a dud batch or something...

i had one problem with mites on a bcc and got a can of this. only took one treatment and they were gone. i just sprayed some newspaper as directed on the tin. used it as the substrate, with the water bowl taken out for 24 hours, and that was it. always have a can here now just in case.

I swear by it. But use it regularly so dont get mite problem at all. But it does kill mites really effectively.
