Default getting silicon off glass

ive just built a new viv for a boa im going to treat myself to at xmas, and i was just wondering i had an old fish tank that im using the glass out of but the thing is its still got a little bit of the silicon on it around the edges of the glass, how is the best way of getting it clean cuz ive scraped the most of with a stanley blade but its just little bits now that i need to get off, what could i use to make it spotless clean?

edit- i am not using a glass viv,i have cut the glass from the old fish tank to use on the wooden viv ive made.

You can buy silicone eater from diy shops - spread it on and leave it, then when it's done the remaining silicone just wipes off.

Or several brand new razor blades...Used to build aquariums a while ago and we didnt like using chemicals so there is another option for ya...

I could take apart a whole aquarium and remove all old silicon with about 6/7 blades, should only cost about 10p each...
