Default Price difference of males and females.

Hi all,

I was just wondering why do females seem to sell for more than males?

To me a male is worth more in the breeding side of things, because he can breed younger and can be put with multiple females.

because if you have a female and breed you get the profit from the eggs and possibly because they havce the potential to breed in the first place?

Because, if you have 10 females, and 1 male. And they lay 10 eggs each, you have 100 eggs.

If you have 1 female, and 10 males. Then you can't get more than 10 eggs.

Majority of people, will have, for example, 3 female blizzard corns, and then 1 male. This will produce 3 clutches of eggs.

That's true, and males of codominant or dominant morphs - particularly NEW morphs - are often much more expensive than females.

That was what I was meaning...

I have purposly gone and bought a loverly high yellow male JCP so he can pass his influence on to a couple of nice females.

Same as with royals, I would have 2 normal females and 1 high end co-dom/dom male to stud to them both.
