Rspca?

This is kinda a follow up thread from the Claireburniston thread regarding the royal given to her by the police, But i didnt want to hijack her thread. Well done for that clare we need more people like you around......you commend saying that we all know what the RSPCA would have done.......


Anyhow, im sorry if im am naive about this subject and im hoping this thread can remedy that.....But im wondering what exactly they would have done ...i have senn alot of negative comments on this forum regarding the RSPCA....and im just wondering where they have come from.........from my point of view they just seem to pay more attention to fluffy pets being recused as that is the only image i get seen portrayed by them....any annoys me cus lots of people (in the outside world) tend to look at snakes as not cute (and thus not worthy of rescue-makes me sick) .....and it really gets to me....

Anyhow im just wondering if people can explain to me exactly why we as a snake/reptile community frown so much on the RSPCA.....please feel free to talk about your experiences too (if thats allowed on the forum)

The RSPCA are against any exotic animals being kept as pets, given there own way all exotics would be confiscated and destroyed.

Any "rescues" they do of exotics generally go the same way as they are not equipt or knowledgable in keeping exotics and they're not likely to change.

That is worse than i could ever have imagined of them. I thought they were supposed to be pro animals not against.....

That is just awful...it has given me a really sick feeling in the pit of my stomach...I had no idea they were that way...its just pure awful

maybe the RSPCA should have a boa or some big snake and feed the dogs and cats to it insed of killing them and doing what they do(i dont know lol )

After reading that, they are just a big joke to me ...they say they care about animals and are like that.......or do they just discriminate and think aww we only like fluffy little animals and they are only worth saving.........it makes me sick.........what would happen if there were organisations out there that help humans but only ones that they liked...like yeh well save homeless children ...but only the ones with brown hair and blue eyes .....Its like discrimination ...its ff'in awful......im sorry for the swearing but its really upset me bigstyle.......ALL animals deserve the right to live happy and comfortable lives regardless........I am very very upset about this.....and what gives them the right to dictate to us what sort of pets we want to keep......
