A question to people from the Glasgow area.

I'm moving up north in about a week and need to get myself sorted out with a vet, but i've checked online and can't seem to find any information for a reputable vet who is competent in dealing with snakes.

So i was wondering, people in Glasgow, which vet do you use or know of any that you would recommend?

hope your move up to sunny scotland goes ok !!! will try get you a name address and contact number for a good rep vet...there is 1 in cumbernauld that comes highly recommended but have never used will try get details...quite sure there will be plenty of recommendations from our loyal scottish members of this forum....where are you moving to ??

There's a vet in Cumbernauld (which is about 10 miles outside of Glasgow) on this list, Vets with specialist knowledge of exotic pets by Region, which is probably who you've been recommended scottiedog, but I've never used them.

I've had an eggbound snake treated by Champion vets, they are in the South West of Glasgow, which went okay, but they are not a reptile specialist, just the nearest place at the time.

the vets in cumbernauld is called the lawrie vetrinary practice.
and the snake specialist is michael orsey.
he is the vet i use, very helpful and has snakes of his own.
also the owner dr lawrie is a bird specialist but he also is very knowledgable when it comes to reptiles.

Thanks a lot guys. My best friend asked her local vet and he recommended Cumbernauld as well. Thing is we will be living on the South Side of Glasgow in Pollokshaws area and don't have a car :S could be tricky getting there.

If it's the only decent place though, i guess we'll manage somehow thanks a lot for your help guys
