I've looked at those before. Couldn't work out how you could heat them properly as I don't think it has any shelves where you could attach heat mats.

i would mod them a bit, but it means i can buy loads of them and save money on buying a massive rack system.

I have always loved Freedom Breeder racks, however after seeing the new models/formats at Daytona two weeks ago I was really disappointed. The tubs did not slide easily and it took effort to get the bottom tub out. Hopefully they will correct this. The ARS racks totally blew the FB racks out of the water. The good thing that FB offer are ventilation options to suit your needs. Therefore they can easily compete with vivs.

I have not seen Proracks up close so cannot comment on them. Visions I have seen and I think they are great. They look a little flimsy, but they are actual very stable. I can see why people like Jeremy Stone, and Vin Russo use them throughout their facilities.

As far as vivs go. I have used boaphiles for a few years now. I love them, but the problem with them is cleaning. With a good rack system it is very easy to slide the tub out, clean it and replace it. Cleaning the corners of a viv is a pain in the ass. But.... they hold heat and humidity really well, sometimes too well.

There is a difference between keeping loads, and properly. Do not scrimp on your set ups. Spend the extra now and keep few animals better. You may realise down the line that keepign loads actually puts you off the hobby. more snakes = more food = more cleaning = more heating = more electricity.
It may become more tedious than enjoyable.

100% agree with this, a few years ago I had 3 snakes, I now have nearly 40 which I realise isn't alot at all in the grand scheme of things but the fantasy of owning alot of snakes is certainly alot more fun than the reality! Racking definitely saves time in cleaning/feeding/water change etc but its also alot less personal. I rushed into things a bit and I wish I had thought it out more thoroughly before hand!

when i say loads i mean buying 2 of these storage containers and slowly filling them up. i only have 2 snakes at the moment so 5 snakes would be loads for me i was thinking of using the argos storage boxes for hatchlings and maybe buying a vision rack system or something similar. either that or another motorbike

The vision boa rack is okay. I am not a fan of the tubs they use, as although it looks large, the sides have a severe slope and it actulaly reduces the floor space to about 3 x 2.5ft.
Also, you often spend more time modifying argos storage containers and end up with a below par waste of space. If you have the money to spend, get a good system. Hatchling racks are easy to build, and there are numerous por systems out there that are not that expensive.
