Hi

Yes I have a wamena locality chondro (from the Dutch breeder Freek Nuyt). You can keep them in exactly the same way you'd keep any other locality type chondro.

Hot spot of about 86-88F will a cool end of about 76-78F.

Provide a humidity cycle rather than constant high humidity. I mist my green trees once a day so they are on a 24 hour humidity cycle.

cheers

Stuart

I'll take some pics tomorrow and post them. To be honest, the wamena locality generally looks very similar to the sorong locality.

This is one of Damon Salceies wamenas. Damon is an American breeder who is famous for producing the first albino green tree python;

What price difference???

I paid 600 Euros for mine (thats about £400) and that was captive bred from one of Europes most well respected breeders (not a farmed import from a UK pet shop!).

The only green tree locality types (as opposed to designer crosses) that are drastically more expensive than the rest are the Kafiau's (the ones that are supposed to stay yellow) and the merauke's. Both of those locality types will be £1000+ each.

cheers

Stuart

Yeah thats probably it. Although to be fair, most chondros in UK pet shops are over-priced when you consider that they're (very probably) farmed imports yet are still being sold at CB prices.
