I keep an adult pair of garters in the largest exo and its great for them.
rough greens would also do well in one of these.

Personally I think most of the exo terra vivs are too tall in comparison to their length and width to be ideal for most terrestrial snake species. They tend to be relatively popular with keepers of arboreal species but the standard unit does require modification for these types of snakes....I'm toying with the idea of using them for my chondros and emeralds but I'd need to block off most of the mesh screen top as the unit if far too "open" to allow for adequate humidity build up.

If you don't want to modify the unit at all I think exo terras are better suited to things like chameleons and dart frogs etc

cheers

Stuart

Yes, looks good! I was typing my reply whilst you posted yours so my post wasn't a response to your post, it was a response to the first post.

How are you heating the set up?

cheers

Stuart

there is a little ambient heat from the vivs they stand on which give a 'hot' spot of 84-86 the rest of the viv graduates to about 75 near the roof.

one side is always warmer than the other due to the positioning of it so they have a good gradient in there, and they are often seen in the trees, and in the evenings they tend to either sleep in the pot of burrow in their substrate.

some people sell ribbon snakes as garters and they are bitey little sods at the best of times..these garters are very tame and gentle, i can hand feed them the smallest pink and they take it gently

Just sell the Exo Terra and buy a viv, this would give you more options of what to keep then.
