Well as there are few if any places inhabited by boas where the night and day time temperatures are constant, I would aim to achieve this anyway. However, now that most - if not all - herp keepers understand the idea of creating a thermal gradient and allowing the animals to seek out their own choice of temperature, it may not be as important as in the old days when people aimed to keep everything at constant temperature.
In a nutshell, I would say yes you should aim to have either or both a linear or temporal temperature gradient for all terrestrial species. |

Ok thanks for reply. I have a good thermal gradient and I think when my boa is ready to go from her rub to a viv ill work out something for a night time drop.
