Default Can you buy live rodents for food?

I'm in need of a live rat pup or two... and I've got no idea where I'd get them (or if it's legal to buy them...) and i don't have the time to breed my own.

Any ideas where i'd pick one up?

x

It is illegal in the uk so be careful who you ask and if you do do it dont tell the world or you'll end up with a visit from the rspca! there are plenty of people willing I would recomend contacting a green tree breeder or royal breeder in your area and ask them where they get them or if they breed feeder rodents if they can suply them to you ! Hope this helps, Ryan.

I have no idea about the UK. But here they sell live rodents as reptile food in pretty much any pet shop (that has them), if asked.

Ask a rep shop, they'll probably have a few out back as it were.

Some reptile shops have them out back but try not to attract attention when you're asking.

Its illegal for a shop to sell you live rodents knowing they are for food.
You need to find a private breeder near you and ask them.

Its also illegal for anyone to sell un-weaned animals without the mother so dont shout it from the hills either.

Cruel? Have you read her other topic? I'd say that stressing a snake with force feedings is much crueller.
