ok been reading that using pine shavings for snakes is not advisible due to some kind of toxic resin ? so my question is this ... i have a double vivarium built from pine and varnished... will this be ok for a snake ?
I am hoping the toxins are released in the shavings as they are cut and a varnished piece of pine will be ok ?????? if not then arrrggghhhhhh need to get another viv sorted lol..... |

i wouldn't do it myself, and i doubt you will find many experienced keepers who would do it. not worth the risk IMO. |
