How about getting a nice normal cornsnake ...they are not very expensive and lots grow up looking stunnning....I have alot of respect for the normal classic corns....and theres alot a around with interesting hets (recessive genes) for future breeding projects.....

Good for you for setting a date far enough in the future for you to do plenty of research beforehand. Forget about pet shops, you've got plenty of time to source a good breeder and buy direct from them.

cheers

Stuart

The shiny black one in Ian's signature file looks like a Black Rat Snake - Pantherophis obsoleta - and probably isn't a corn snake at all Likewise, the solid white one is a leucistic rat snake (I'm guessing Texas - a different subspecies of P. obsoleta) ...

Both the snakes in my siggy are the 'Holy Grail' of corns, what most corn breeders would kill for to produce first - the white one with blue eyes is the Leucistic Corn, and the black one is the Melanistic Corn....

Neither have been discovered yet, It symbolises a bright future for reptile keeping, whereas the mechanical snake in the middle represents a dismal future - Fate lies in our own hands
