I'm just wondering whether anyone else has had any of their snakes microchipped with her name and address. My royal is chipped and so was her mate before she died because at the time I got them, royals were fairly expensive and not so easy to get hold of as they appear to be now.
I had lots of strange people who somehow knew I kept snakes asking questions about them at the time, and they seemed to be under the impression that snakes were worth alot more than they were. So I was concerned about them getting stolen. After all if your snake was lost or stolen how would you prove it was yours. They won't respond to you when you call their name, and its very hard to prove markings when so many of them look so alike.
I'm just wondering out of curiosity, if anyone else is as mental or paranoid as me, because when I had mine done, the vet hadn't dealt with any snakes before and had to phone a zoo to find out where to put the chip

When i had my Dumerils and argentine boas i had the microchips kept in a folder with the paperwork , personally id never chip a snake as ive seen too many botch jobs done by unexperienced vets that leaves a large bulge where the chip has been inserted wrong...after seeing those poor snakes it put me off the idea all together , it looked like a tumour...horrible
