Default Royal Clutches

Generally how many eggs does a royal lay (when shes at optimum breeding weight/size? Thanks, Ben

I usually guess at 1 egg per 300-350g in weight of the female
eg. 1200g Royal will lay approx. 4 eggs

Wild and wild-caught royals average high 7 to low 8 per female (i.e between about 7.8 and 8.1). Never lower than 4, and up to a max of 19.

Therefore as a keeper you should be aiming for an adult female to produce between 7 and 8 eggs per clutch.
