according to my fiance and mother I need a 'valid' reason to get ANOTHER snake, apprantly 'I want one' and ' I love them' and 'got space for more' doesn't count.

Any suggestions lol?

You want to try breeding your fav: species (then you can tell them all that the money you get will help fund the electricity bills!)

Ask them, if they buy more make-up/clothes/shoes etc, or whatever they thend to like wich cost about the same monthly, why you cannot have another snake wich makes you very happe, gives you a great feeling when having, why you should not be allowed to have a creature wich basicly can take care of itself, you just need to feed and handle once a while (well depends :P).

or alternatively use a clever bit of reverse psychology and ask them for 10 valid reasons why you SHOULDNT be allowed one..coz after space/money/time excuses tend to run out..tactics!!!

Because they are your hobby and its very reasonable to spend both time and money on a hobby, whatever it is. And because they love you and want you to be happy, its well known that people with a satisfying hobby are happier .

Say the snake you are getting is endangered in the wild and if you can manage to get a pair and breed them then they could be taken by zoo's or released into the wild.

She won't know corn snakes aren't endangered

Or you could just put your foot down and tell her how it is, your the man of the house and your the one who makes the decisions

i think (accoring to danish standarts) the bills for having a snake, the electrics bill for a heating bulb (50W) is about 70£ a year or so. that is what? 1...2 trousers? I tend tto use that one xD
