Default Documentary?

i've been watching alot of programs about snakes recently - and plan too tonight . But they always show DWA species, now don't get me wrong i like adrenaline and high octain action but there's much much more to snakes than venom, agression, preditory instincts and the need to procriate.

i'm sick to death of Austin Stevens who would make out that a stick insect were the most leathal creatures on earth, Jeff Corwin who is just a wit. And all these other documentary programs what hone in on danger just to get viewers.

why not show how boids or clubrids live? even the lovely cornsnakes that we all seem to own but have never witnessed how they live first hand.

i may be jumping the gun but are we just going to get sensationalism tonight or are we going to see snakes as we all see them? I'm just waiting for that special documentary that doesn't potray all snakes as venomus preditors.

There was a one off about Pythons.

Can't remember what it's called though.

i think it was on a couple of days ago called "ultimate constrictors" or "ultimate snake" - very good program and thoroughly recommend it. if memory serves correctly there are some great sections about woma pythons, retics, dwarf island bci (he has sorted me and my group a visit out to that island - im really looking forward to that one! cheers!) anaconda's or course and some tiny python from asia
