Have they changed the latin name for the red knee? Its just I got one and its called something like B . adatum.

No its still Brachypelma Smithi mate you bought a different tarantula or the person who was selling muddled the names up

I dont think there is tbh does it look like the ones in these pics on this thread? Only can really think of it being a different Brachy tarantula or he got the latin name wrong possibly.

Was it B. Auratum it was sold as?
They're commonly known as a flame knee.

There is one that looks very similair to Smithi, which someone posted here not long ago called B. Annitha. I think they're quite rare though.

Theres no tarantula under that name you posted a far as im aware, it seems the guy has just got the latin wrong then
