Default My land hermit crab.



This is feeler one of our 26 land hermit crabs, isn't he a handsome chap?

Awww thanks for the comments.

Once you have the set up, and as long as you have the temp and humidity right, there not too difficult to keep.

Not sure many if any pets at home still sell them, but Exotic Pets and livefoodsby post sell them.

where does he get the shell from?what happens when it gets bigger and outgrows the shell?

They need a supply of shells, as they grow they'll move up a size in shells. I buy them on line, i also run an online hermit crab store and we sell our own shells, we import them from the US the larger shells.

I do like hermit crabs, we have two, its amazing how they can climb, the look so clumsy and heavy with that shell and stuff...
