That looks quite cool!, What does the A stand for?

(This is coming from someone who hates spiders, but was dreaming about owning an OBT last night! LOL)

Is it arboreal, or terrestrial? Okay for a first spider?

Nice, I've got a couple myself..

Avicularia..

These are arboreal, I've found these to be the most unpredictable out of most other Avicularia.. Pretty damn quick, wouldn't reccommend one as a starter.

I'd say go for an easy terrestial, either a Brachypelma, Aphonopelma or Grammostola tbh.. Any other questions, feel free to PM me.

Hey man, this is an arboreal tarantula. It is pretty skitty, more so than i first though as when i was trying to get it back in the tank after it was stood on top, it was proving to be a bit pesky.
If you want a good arboreal first time T then i would recommend an Avicularia avicularia. My first arboreal T was an A.versicolour, some people would say not to get one of those as your first, but i never had any troubles. But A.avicularia are definitely the calmest of the avics.

The "A" in A.diversipes stands for "Avicularia". Just as with an OBT it would be P.murinus, "P" standing for Pterinochilus.
If you want any help or advice with getting a first time T then just ask on the forum and/or check out my youtube channel:YouTube - Beginnersguides87's Channel

She looks fabulous mate They are pretty skittish and can even be a wee bit bitey but awesome none the less.

I'm glad to see she is settling in nicely now. I'm sure you'll enjoy her as much as I did.
