I bet all the vids mentioned and moaned about have had loads more hits now this thread is open.

I think the mods should STOP people indirectly promoting these videos.

Posters moaning and putting links are encouraging the activity, is just an advert for the video makers.

Bit like buying sick animals from pet shops to save the animal, the pets shop will just sell more and more.

Tell me if I'm wrong.

You may have a point there.

In which case, is it any wonder why people often accept, in restaurants and such, a third rate service, say nothing about it (to the owner), then come home and whine about it to anyone that will listen.

I only went on to flag it as animal abuse, I am also going to send it to the RSPCA as well and see what they say to the actual footage

This thread's turned into a little bit of a bitchfest hasn't it?

"I say we should... "

"yeah.. well.."

ect...

Anyway. Personally I see it as wrong. i know it would be difficult to apply the same rights to them as other animals, but they deserve it as much as any others imo. for instance, if we decided to put a angry bull and say... a pig (theoretical situation here) in a pen, and force a fight, animal rights would go through the roof. But after we could legally eat both of them. So why don't inverts (which are food to certain reptiles) have these same rights?

Personally I feel I will do something about it, and am going over to the invert section to start another thread on it to get other peoples thoughts. just to gauge support/put others thoughts on paper too before I contact RSPCA and anyone else I can think of.
