S. cingulata (France, blue phase), aprox. 4- 5cm







S. subspinipes subspinipes (Java), aprox. 5-6cm

Yep! They are cool little critters! I never see the old moults though... do you have any pedes? Judging by your sig your more of a T man?

Yeah! The growth seems to be speeding up! This is just one instar later for the subspinipes, I think the cingulata has maybe just 'puffed' out a bit - possibly due to moult?..., I never find their old cuticle though so its hard to monitor as I try not to disturb them much.

Does anyone know what happens to the spent cuticle?

i used to have a video of my scolopendra shedding and eating its moult afterwards, im assuming this is why you cant find the moult?
unfortunatly the laptop was stolen, the video was on it and i hadnt backed it up ! shame really as it was amazing to watch

Lol sorry i've only just seen this! Yeah i have two centipedes, one is subspinipes subspinipes and the other is a little more yellow and i had it given to me as just a tiger centipede so not sure on latin name. I'm more of a spider guy to be honest but i love anything with an attitude problem! Just not women :P
