maintaining heat for spiders

How do you guys maintain the heat for spiders that need it warmer. Though about heat mat on the back?? but am unsure whether this would be right??

Depends what species. A mat on the back would be ok but get a digital thermometer to record what temp its at, and a thermostat to stop them getting too hot.

I keep my more tropical spiders warm by using the central heating (Coz heating 100+ spiders with heatmats is a mission!) and i put the ones who require more heat, on the top shelves. Cooler ones on the bottom etc

I put a heat mat under half of the tank of my Ts that require higher heat/humidity and this seems to keep them happy an fiesty, and use a heat mat on the back of the tank with the lower heat Ts, this works very well for me.

i am currently building a spider rack for mine heat comes from heat cable and attached to an adjustable thermostat be good when finished i hope and a good space saver...
