Default Hermit Crabs

I have a spare tank at the moment, and have been thinking about getting either 2 small or 1 large hermit crab to go in it. The only thing is, I was reading in a book on them that they can be quite noisy at night, clanking their shells around. This could be a problem as they would be in my bedroom!
Does anyone on here keep hermit crabs? Any advice?

I have 3 hermit crabs and the only time they make noise is when they knock their shells against water bowl or spare shells. Its not a loud sound and they don't come out all the time - well mine don't they are quite boring!

Visit vanessa`s land hermit crab pages on the net. Sound advice about critters that aint as easy to keep as they look.

Yeah, I always find anything involving standing water is 100x harder to keep happy than it first looks. That is a good site, i'd had a look before for someone on the livefood forums.
