Default Life Cycle Terms

At what point does a nymph become a sling, and a sling become a juvenile etc?
Is it determined by size, age or colouration?
I have a 2cm B auratum without colours that i think is around 12months old (sling). And A geniculata 3cm with colours, i think she's 18 months old (sling/sub juve??)

nymphs are the eggs with legs stages, generally there is two nymph stages, but some species have 3. slings are when they become first become mobile.
Juvi are generally accepted as when they adopt their adult colouration, and adult is when they thicken after amolt rather than growing significantly bigger..thats how i treat adults anywho..also if they're receptive to a Mature male (in the case of females, males are obvious)

A nymph is the stage before a spiderling. At this stage the spiderling resembles a spider but lives off of the yolk in its abdomen so it doesn't need to feed. As Cam said, most species have 2 stages. Eggs with legs, which is literally a ball with legs on. Then you get nymph 2 stage where the nymphs are mobile and move about but aren't yet spiderlings.
These are nymph 2:

After this they moult and become spiderlings.
A spiderling becomes a juvenile once it gets adult colours.
