Default Calling All Tarantula Keepers!

hi.

lol, okey, im planning a massive tattoo on my leg or chest or sumthin, and i think what i want to do is have lots of photo-realistic spiders, scorpions, mantises, and just general inverts all crawling around on the given body part.

so i was wondering, since you're all a lovely bunch, i could maybe ask for some pictures of your inverts??

what id need is some full shots of the creepy crawlys from above, on possibly a white background so theres a distictive shadow there aswell. and as much detail as you cn get, i want every last hair.

any help given is much appreciated, and any photos taken n put on websites, or any big tattoo conventions i go to, i'll give credit to each n every person who posts a picture up!! i'll put a post on the pictures forum for spiders and inverts, if you could post the pictures there then that would be fab!

thanks again, im looking forward to seeing the results! i'll put some pictures up when the tattoo's started aswell.

Maybe you should decide where you want the tattoo first... then maybe what you want. Otherwise your just getting it for the sake of getting it

I think he needs to see the pics first, so it can all be incorporated together and it planned out.

Looking forward to seeing the tattoo

I like the Koi's...got a massive one covering my back, although that needs some more colour to finish it off.

I do like your idea mind, sounds kinda similar to what my misses has just had done...shes had a 3/4 sleeve made up of butterflies, dragonflies and flowers (all a bit girly) with some nice grey shading swirling between them to tie it all together.

So you are wanting a collage of inverts as a tattoo, would definitely recommend it be on your back as that is the most available space. Rather than getting several I would have one single specimen with great detail.

I plan to get a poecilotheria tat done at some stage

Not sure i'd agree with that, but then it does depend exactly how big the tattoo is to be.

I certainly think having just one at a very large size won't work. Plus, having just one you really narrow down where it can be.

Personally (which is what tattoos come down to) id stick with the multiple pictures and have them flowing with some type of shading/pattern linking all the pictures together. Also, that way you can start and end the tattoo where you want and try to get it flowing with your body.

its funny you shud say that, the original idea was that i was gunna get a full chest peice of like an orb weaver or sumthin, legs goin up either side of my neck n down towards my legs.

but i had a chat with my good freind, who happens to be my tattooist aswell, n he sed from a tattooists point of veiw he much preferred the idea id just htought of being lots of smaller spiders, still in good detail, but then it also aswell for variation of favourite spiders and others, and it'd make a more interesting peice.
