Default spider sanctuary?

hey guys, i've just started my animal management course at hadlow college.
iv spent lots of time this week thinking about the countless stories of spiders being shipped over on fruit bunches from overseas. imagine the stress the poor little guys go through on the journey, and then only to be hounded by people prodding them, and eventually being taken away by the ruthless RSPCA to be killed.

n i was thinking, there must be some place spiders can go in a situation like that, since im pretty sure they cant send the spiders back or whatever.
how cool would it be to set up a spider sanctuary, for the creatures that are shipped far from home and crammed into fruit boxes by accident. it does happen quite often, after all.

what's everyones thoughts on something like this? cuz i think it's quite a good idea.

let me know!

nice idea but the animals have no rights.....which is so wrong..
the government wouldnt allow it due to dangerous species etc so you would have to get a dwa license and even then they still might be funny with you.... me personally have no problems with folks keeping widows funnels etc as pets but the powers that be wont allow it...

well i'm currently in the process of looking into DWA licences, funnily enuff my dad rang the rspca about it, they didnt have a clue, wich is something i think they should know.

me and dad are well geared up for setting up our own little sanctuary. once we've found out the requirements, we're going to build an insulated arachnid shed, with heaters n that. so theres no need for loads of heat mats. i'm gunna post a thread in the dwa section to see what kind of requirements are needed aswell, just so iv got an idea.
