Default False widows

Any1 know how long between a false widow laying egg sac & babies coming out? Bought a fat female & the next day I had a thin female & a big egg sac.
I've read they're living in this country too. Never seen them in my neck of the woods in west yorkshire tho

Surely it depends what temperature you are keeping the eggs at?

not too long, generally the female will live to make approx 6 or so successive egg sacks. they tajke approx 1-2months from creation, youl be swamped by them and they are VERY small/ GL

Default false widows

The female's tub is in an old viv with rest of my spiders with a large heat mat on the back heating them all, not sure of the exact temp. Her tub is in another tub with the holes taped up cos I dont want the babies getting everywhere!

I keep mine at room temperature and it took about 2months for the sac to hatch. They're kept in a cricket tub and touch wood, none of the babies have escaped yet

assuming that youv collected them yourself, then they are more than fine at room temp, bare in mind how cold it gets outside really is no need to supply extra heat. Im sure they would appreciate a warmer temp, but just try not to let it get too hot
i remember last year, i accidentally left one of my mature females on the windowsill, she ended up properly cooked lol. tried to pick her up but her bum jsut spewed open...theres a warning hehe
