Default G.Rosea Substrate Depth

Hi, I'm new to spider keeping and am looking to get into it, I was curious i know alot of spider will burrow, will G.rosea burrow if give the opputunity? if so how deep would you say give the substrate?

It depends on the individual spider as to whether it will bury or not, but either way I'd give it 3 - 5 inches of eco - earth.

yeah 3-5" is fine. Keep rosies dry with a shallow water dish. I dont use additional heat with my rosies, room temp is fine.

Most G. rosea don't tend to burrow in captivity, but will use a hide so make sure you provide a retreat in case it wants some "privacy". I use enough substrate so there's no more than twice the spider's legspan between top of sub and lid for my terrestrials. Most ground-dwellers aren't terribly good at climbing, and can easily rupture their abdomens if they fall too far.
