Now that is amazing, I remember somebody selling some egg sacks but I declined as I didnt know how to care for mantids , how many come out of the sack on average?

It depends what species really, some larger species may have hundreds, some smaller species may only have somewhere in the tens.

ant mantis hatches about 30 nymphs but none die after hatching..and u get ones like chinese mantis..these are known for massive hatching rate and a massive death rate after hatching..i had about 200 per ooth which mayby 50% will die over the next few weeks.

yer but i do this all the time so i was ready lots of frute flies stood by i house the ooths in 1ftx1ft net cages
