Default Chili Rose Fasting??

I was lookin on the net for a reason why my female Chili Rose Speedy hasn't eaten for the last 3 months and i saw on a site that said that some tarantulas can fast for a few months befor a moult and aslong as there abdomen isnt small or shrivled then they should be ok just wanna double check on this what do u guys say?

yes that is correct.
Grammostola rosea also commonly fast for no reason what so ever
one of my adult specimens hasnt eaten in 5 months.

Iv got 2 brachypelma slings that are still 'fat' but havnt eaten since i got them, im assuming not to worry but though it would just check as im not use to slings

I can't remember the last time my female Chilean Rose took prey, she just seems frightened of it! Spiders metabolism is generally slow, they can go for a long time without eating, just offer food now and again until she takes it, they will not starve themselves.

Yep roseas are notorious for this. Keep offering food once a week and remove it if it isnt eaten. She will eventually eat. When did she last shed as it can take them forever to shed too.

They seem to do everything their way lols. Only ever had a problem with my sling who always looks fat so not bothered lols.

Her last shed was ages ago i'd say bout 2 years ago roughly.

Could prob be coming up for a moult then. Make sure she has access to water as that is most important.
