Default giant indian mantis

hi there , when i tried to get my mantis out today he dropped to the base of his cage like he was dead , he was all stiff and didnt move. i gently picked him up and it took him out and after about 10 mins he finally come bak around , he is fine now but it was as if he was dead ! did i disturb his shedding ?????

he plays dead really well he actually scared me , i thought my little buddy was dead !

One of my peacock mantids has mastered the art of doing back flips! When I take him out of his jar to clean it or whatever he just does backflips across the room! Scares me!
