Is it definately sub adult? They enclose themselves when giving birth.

Yeah, sure of that and its a male, forgot to mention it!
No change today, still in there. Would it be a possible explanation if it was an adult?, dont think that the behaviour would change from sub-ad to adult.

When molting, desert scorps will (as you probably know) dig down, sometimes past two or three feet deep until they find sand damp enough. It could be he's looking for a little moisture?

Thought of that and sprayed a bit by the entrance and on the hill. 3days ago. its been 9 days a molt wouldn't take that long. I read on another site that it was apparently ok, to expect...
They tend to do this for periods of time... not convinced... The conditions in the tank are fine, could be a little warmer though We'll see tomorrow

It is natural light as long as possible then a spot light for the rest of the day.
Try to give him at least 9 to 11 hours of light a day. The spot is shining from the top through an opaque sheet of plastic. He is still in there today...
