Default Finally got the jade mantis threat pose on camera

Any one that keeps mantids will know they very rarely display a threat pose..sometimes i keep species and i wish to god i could get a threat pose from them but 99% of the time the wish don't come true.i have even tried brushing a paint brush on there abdomen..blowing on them.gently poking there abdermen..LOL..hell iv ever tried a mirror and they still don't display.Well yesterday i was lucky//i went to open 1 of the jade tubs to feed them and my finger must of spooked it really bad.it started displaying..i always have my camera on standby so i quickly grabbed it and took some pics..i the put the camera down, closed the lid on the tub and went to feed jade mantis number 2(female) and funny enough it started displaying to..lol..So i had 1 male and 1 female jade mantis doing a threat pose for me and i got em both on camera

You can get them to show threat display by using something bright red and bigger than them. Mine have always reacted to red flowers and sweet wrappers.

My congo green was doing this to a cricket yesterday, I think the cricket was too big for it. It didn't eat it so I took it out.
That does look pretty threatening. lol.

Unless he means the position, good photos anyways
Some species seem capable of doing more than one threatening position also, saw my acromantis doing an idolomantis style one the other day
