Default Really worried about GBB

Ok although it did this before a month ago It's doing again and so I'm worried.

Basically it's been really active as usual. climbing on the sides, webbing etc. It hasn't eaten in the last 2 weeks but 2 weeks isn't exactly long.

Now a month ago it did this worrying thing were it had two legs curled under and they were shaking quite violently. I thought it might be a symptom of dehydration even though she has a waterbowl she doesn't use it. I misted the ground near her, she ran off(so her legs did work) and then came back and appeared to drink. After that she was fine and active.

Now today she's doing something similiar. This time the one leg seemingly involved isn't curled under really but it's like it's occasionally spasming. I'm going to try misting right near her again even if she doesn't like it.

Weird thing is though earlier today she was walking around the tank webbing as usual it's so odd and obviously concerned. I do hope it isn't a slow acting parasite..

What are your opinions about this?

Its possible, very strange could it not be some sort of damage to the knee following a moult meaning the change in blood pressure causes some involentery movements that look like spasms?

To be honest I have no experience in this area so I have no idea. I would say I don't personally think it happens to her every day. Obviously I can't watch her 24/7 but since her tank is near my PC when I'm on it(most of the time lol) I often glance over or stand up to peer in and I haven't noticed it before today apart from the original time a month ago.

Alright I got her as an adult so her age isn't known. Previous owner had her for..1-3 years I really can't recall.

Anyway she's been a bit off her food but I think it's because I was overfeeding before. Still I don't think it's been over 2 weeks since she last ate, certainly not over 3 and it was a large locust.

Apparently she shed a few weeks before I got her, so she shed beginning of September I guess.

Do you know if she was an adult before that shed? Just wondering if its age.

Hmm I've done some digging, apparently leg shaking or twitching could be another symptom of dehydration. Gah i don't understand it she has a water bowl and I always make sure it's full but she knows no interest. She's webbed over it a few times and decor and stepped in it lol but I've never seen her drink. I think I will leave it for tonight, If she hasn't moved from her position or is still twitching I will wet the substrate near her and hope she drinks.

I believe she was adult before that shed. I suppose age might be a factor.

thing is I've been told to avoid misting if possible because GBBs like it pretty dry as were they come from it's really hot and the ground is often baked dry.

That's correct. There is no need to mist a GBB if a water dish is present. To be perfectly honest, it would much more likely be a neurological condition rather than dehydration in this species.
