Default ID on foreign beetle!

sup guys, i got this beetle from college, apparently it came from a docking port, came over on some fruit shipment.
any ideas? i reckons some kind of desert beetle cuz of the length of its legs, but iv not a clue really.







any help greatly appreciated.

Just a quick guess -nothing sure- but it makes me think of some sort of tenebrionidae. There are hundreds if not thousands of species so it would be tough to put a definite name on that one without a location. Let us know if you find out more!

from what i've looked up, it looks like the taxa belongs to the "Blaps sp.", they like the dark and humidity, possibly originating from egypt. found in cellars and wine cellars and things. this is just a little bit of research iv done. not sure what it could eat, or what kind of habitat it would need, though. i'll keep looking.

For some reason that was the first thing I thought when i seen it?
