Default red baboon

hi all, ive recently got a red baboon,
he or she is around fag packet size, quite a attractive velvet sheen to its coat, anyways ive got it set up in a tank, temps are just around 85-78.. got 3 inches of compostie, bark substrate..
what im worried about is the spider has just webbed into a den and it hasnt eaten for a wk, it hasnt shed since ive had it so is it going to shed?
im sorry if this is a pretty lame post but im new to spids, lizards im cool with but spids i buy a new one most years, keep it for a bit then pass it on to my friends who have great sucsess with them, me they die on me and i want to keep the baboon this time round...

Erm... As with reptiles, after being rehoused or being bought, it is best to leave Tarantulas for about a week before feeding.

Although, has it fully sealed itself in? Does it come out at night?
