Thank you spidey people - I think I'm going to det a Pink Zebra sling. I think the adults look real nice. I'm being very brave as I'm severely phobic of house spiders. To the extent that if one was in a door way, I wouldn't be able to leave the room until the spider has gone or had been moved! How do I provide water for a sling? Is there really enough in the food? And lastly, what areas do pink zebras come from? Thanks, Ben

Are you getting it from spidershop? If so, Lee won't post out if there's any danger of cold weather.
I have one of those Pink Zebra slings (from spidershop), but you won't see much of it. They are a burrowing species. I keep mine (about 1.5" legspan) in a lidded plastic container about 3" across with about 6" of substrate and it seems happy enough. I rarely see it, but I can see some of its burrows through the side of the container. They do not grow fast and your sling might take 5 years or so to get to full size. I feed it mealworms (head squished so they can't burrow), about one a week, although I have just got some smaller crickets as the ones I had before were massive. So I'll try it on one of those next time. At that size they don't need water, just wet one side of the container slightly or keep a little piece of damp moss on one side, but they should get enough water from their food at such a small size. Mine's a nice little fella and seems docile and slow moving. I just wish I saw him a bit more often ![]() There's a pic of him here http://www.reptileforums.co.uk/membe...pestratus.html

Pink Zebra? do you mean these?
http://www.yvonnevanhaaren.com/files..._100x100cm.jpg or these? Eupalastrus campestratus A good starter species. I think people are expecting to post again on Monday, the heatmats help and RMSD is quite reliable as long as a delivery day is organised with the recipient.
