Default mantis

help needed my mantis has layed eggs and covered them in a a hard kind of shell wot i need is help for when they hatch out as i dont no wot to do these eggs was layed about a week ago and i want to be ready for when they do hatch

please help

acording to the pet shop it is a egg sack and she must have before i got her i only had her a month or so wot makes me laugh the pet shop was right quick to say to me i will have it off of me and of course i said no. i would post a picture on here but being new to all this i dont no how to

If she has been mated there may be a good chance of a hatch, either remove the ootheca (egg sac) to a seperate container, a sweet jar is ideal or even a livefood tub stood on end. Did she lay on a twig or such like or is it in the lid? If it's on the lid leave it for a few days till it's hardened then you should beable to remove it quite easily.

Keep the ooth warm and spray with warm water every couple of days to maintain humidity, in 4-8 weeks if fertile it may hatch.

yep lol infertile and the mantis will probably die pretty soon, so..not great news I'm afraid.

thanks all for advise but i am going to hope they are fertile as there was two mantis in the shop so i hope she is anyway getting bk to wot i was asking if the sack is fertile how do i deal with it when it hatches ?? if it hatches

just as there was 2 in the shop it dont mean it will be fertile
