Leave live food in for 24hrs, if its not eaten take it out

You probably won't see the remains of eaten food but if you do you may or may not need tweezers, safer with though. Less likely to be flicked or whatever.

I don't think you can specify an amount of food, I buy all my livefood from here livefoods home - crickets, mealworms, insects, and frozen foods for reptiles, postage is free even if you only buy one box.

You shouldn't feed anything which is larger than the spider's abdomen. As a noob I have made the mistake of overfeeding my juvenile B. boehmi and it's got too fat, so I've been advised to refrain from feeding it again until it's moulted, as if they are too fat they can have problems moulting and it also can shorten its life.

Black crickets last well if you remove them from the tub they came in and put them in a larger well ventilated container with food and a source of moisture (water gel or damp cotton wool). They must have good centilation otherwise they smell and die. I just put a piece of net curtain over the tub secured with a piece of elastic. Some of mine have lasted almost 2 months. I have never tried locusts but I was told locusts don't live as long as crickets and also they get big very quickly if they are properly fed, so could end up being too big for your spiders.

Medium black crickets might be your best bet. One a week should do a juve and for an adult spider you could give it 2 or 3. Unfortunately if you don't have many T's you can end up with loads of crickets, but they don't need much looking after.

Don't get silent crickets, they are not silent and I know crickets aren't exactly clever but these really take the thicky biscuit.

I feed blacks because they are bigger and slower so easier to catch.
