Default Earthworms in your tanks

Be it at Tarantula or what not, you will most likely keep it on peat or coir.

Everyone knows that the humble earth worm is good for soil.

Therefore, would there be any value to using UK earthworms in the tank of a T? Would it help the sub? Would they present any threat to the T? Would it the earthworm be at risk of being eaten?

Thoughts?

They'd get eaten surely?
Funny idea, might be worth a try

Stick with me, I am the man for the obscure ideas. lol.

I am not so sure that they would be eaten.

For a start, they would be well burrowed into the sub, second, I have never known T's to eat worms, and third, um, I had a third, and just forgot what it was going to be!

Haha
It's entirely possible they could get eaten, if you have a burrowing tarantula, then the worm could um...lol...swim?...through the soil into the burrow, and get eaten!

Worms do come up onto the surface to feed aswell, you would need a constant source of dead leaf matter for them to eat.

I've got loads of dead leaves in my H.lividums tank, she loves them, even used them to line the walls of her burrow!

Yes, it is possible that they could be eaten. However, would it be something that a T would want to eat? I once tried a slug with a scorpion, a pede, and a T, and none of them would take it. Besides, if they were eaten, I guess they could be replaced?

I've fed my rosea an earthworm, she didn't seem that interested but ate it eventually. Or you could buy one that's too big to be eaten...http://www.ceiba.org/images/TBS_earthworm.jpg

lt would probably get eaten if it was found, but it would probably take a long time for an arachnid to find it. I don't think its worth it.
